Roadmap – what we are building next

What is being built now, next and later on Moradok Lanna — curated, user-facing, and without promised dates.

This is the public, curated roadmap: what people will notice, not every internal task. Items move when they ship, and every release is listed in the changelog. There are no promised dates — this is a non-profit project built in the open, and quality comes before speed.

Now

  • Typing that never loses text, on every device. The Lanna editor now keeps its own undo history and a safety copy of unsaved board edits; the core cases are tested automatically in Chrome and in Safari. Next is a short guided self-check that anyone can run on their own phone, to cover the iPhone and Android keyboards that no automation on a computer can reach.
  • Learning from real use. Words people search for that the dictionary does not have, and feedback on the AI tools, are collected for the editors to review — so the dictionary grows where learners actually need it.

Next

  • Smart paste. Paste Thai text, text in the Lanna font or marked-up Lanna from another page, and get proper dictionary words in the editor automatically.
  • Follow along. A way to follow the project and get a weekly note: a new article, the word of the day, a sentence to write, festival reminders.
  • Personal board addresses. Members get a short, readable home for their boards.
  • A better spelling check while typing. Words typed directly in Lanna script, checked against the dictionary as you write, with suggestions. It stays a beta tool inside the editor until it is reliable.

Later

  • Dictionary v2. Linking each word to other dictionaries and languages where a reliable source exists, and pictures for words that are easier to remember with one — always added beside the dictionary entry, never changing it.
  • Unicode Lanna script (Tai Tham). Today the editor writes in the widely used Lanna font encoding. Supporting standard Unicode Tai Tham is the step to working in every app and search engine; it needs careful font and keyboard work and will come after the current editor is fully mature.
  • The editor for everyone. Once it is stable, offering the Lanna editor as a reusable component for other sites and projects.

How items are chosen

  • The dictionary is the authority. Nothing on the roadmap generates Lanna spellings; new data is added beside the dictionary, never inside it.
  • Learners first. Features that help people read, write and remember Lanna come before features for their own sake.
  • Small, tested releases. Every change ships with automated tests, and every fixed bug becomes a new test.
