How it works
- Rhyme by sound. Two words rhyme when the vowel, its length and the final sound match (in Thai: สระ + มาตรา ๘). Tone does not break a rhyme.
- Lanna words are read the Lanna way (the Kham Mueang reading in the dictionary), not by Thai spelling. A word that is not in the dictionary is never shown as Lanna.
- English uses the CMU Pronouncing Dictionary: perfect rhymes first, then near, slant and same-vowel rhymes, the most common words first.
- Same first sound (สัมผัสอักษร) finds words that start with the same consonant sound, for alliteration.
